Every four years the rubes get to "vote" for a Savior and by god do they relish this ritual. If their savior wins, they each feel great, personal sense of vindication for sins real and imagined and, I think, most crucially for the long term maintenance of the Fear Death Cult masquerading as a Representative Republic, they experience a release of built up tensions and fears - tensions and fears created by the Fear-Death Cult itself, of course. It is a delicate balance but the Reptilians have experience with many sentient life forms on other slave/farm planets like earth where they "grow" their life sustenance: negative emotions.
So the elections are a relief valve for pressure built up within The Machine that serves to keep the Machine from coming apart at the seams which is a constant concern of the Fear-Death-Cult. Who exactly is, "elected" is wholly irrelevant to the people's predicament which never changes in any real and meaningful manner no matter who they "elect" but this fact is masked by a near constant collective turmoil that is the very heart of the Fear-Death-Cult such that few realize that the system does not change over time no matter which of the two "choices" are "elected."
Never forget that Fear is potato chips for Reptilians and War is a Buffet.
