Transit Pluto Opposite Natal Moon Interpretation - Personal Astrology by David Sky

So think about this a a natal position one of the most challenging to have in a chart with oppositions being notoriously difficult to resolve and in natal this can almost be a bi-polar energy emotionally with the emphasis upon emotions - very intense emotions think of sitting on a see saw across from a scary clown.
One thing when it comes to transits that I constantly remind myself of for interpretation is that the transit triggers the natal energies that it impacts by planet, sign and aspect so that here, for instance, my natal Moon in Cancer that is trine my South Node at 29 Pisces in the 7th and sextile the North Node at 29 Virgo in the 1st by only two degrees and a loose but significant trine to my IC at 3 degrees Sagittarius where Mercury, my Chart ruler as a Virgo Rising is conjunct at 5 degrees Sagittarius so this whole natal complex is triggered.
Really, the nature of the triggering by transit is a bit more complex since this natal chart is a static snapshot of the energies at the time of our birth, this Starmap of a Life's Purpose/s for incarnation. But this map is not the ground, we are - our life is the ground and this points to the very nature of transits which are the ongoing movements of the planets in the sky during our lives that constantly impact these natal positions of our chart very much demonstrating the nature of growth and change in the living of our lives over which we have impact based upon our decisions over time.
The progressed chart and other predictive charts can give advice on transits that can be very helpful to us in getting a handle on what we are seeing and for me most notably not to go fully down the rabbit hole that would take a book, Mars and Venus are both within less than one degree conjunct to 27 degrees 44 minutes Capricorn that constitutes the exact opposition point to my moon telling me that I am fully invested in this transit at a very personal level and in a balance way, divine masculine to divine feminine.
On let's say the positive side, I have a very strong access to my emotional life and a very strong ability to communicate about it more so than is comfortable for many during my life with whom I have been intimately involved such that one of my lessons is simply coming to understand and accept that not every wants to, needs to or really should have to delve so deeply into their emotional life. This is seen in the loose trine to the IC and Mercury there and the harmonious aspects to the nodal axis speaks to this all being a fated dynamic such that for me delving into my emotions is exactly what my soul is doing to some large degree in this life. This is my work.
Let's call it, The Negative here, is a quincunx from this natal Moon in Cancer to my Natal Sun in Sagittarius at 25 degrees so a quincunx of a 2 degree orb that is perhaps the most challenging single aspect in my chart ergo within my consciousness. Comes into this complex - and astrology is complex in my opinion not simple - is also what is called in Evolutionary Astrology a "Skipped Step", here my natal Sun square the Nodes of the Moon. So this gives a not yet complete by any means but more complete look at what may seem at first to be simply a "Pluto transit opposite natal Moon".
Part of my point here in writing this is to say that simply to look at interpretations of a given transit masterful interpretations as they may well be, is not even close to enough to understand something as profound as an outer planet transit to a personal planet in our natal charts for speaks to the most subtle machinations of our soul's journey in this incarnation and could not be more meaningful and important to our lives.
With the Moon in natal, we are always dealing at some level with the mother in our lives. Pluto opposite or square is going to always be some emotional (and possible physical) trauma in our early childhood relationship with our mother and if we are spiritually inclined then with our soul's very disposition so karmic and past life issues both seen in natal around our Moon and Pluto so any aspect to the two will involve this kind of dynamic, one way or another. A given transit then is triggering not the natal aspects but exactly triggering what we ourselves have made of these natal aspects over time, something that makes working with people with astrology difficult in the extreme, at least for me, and something that I cannot do without interviewing them in depth and getting a feel for them, asking pointed questions and getting to know them as a person.
So for me, what is being triggered over a really two year Pluto Transit here is physical and proximity or emotional abandonment by my mother during early childhood development, something that I have literally spent a lifetime dealing with now. I could not begin to go into all that I have come to grasp during this difficult transit that is far from over yet but at the heart of it Pluto absolutely is demanding that I gain control over my emotions. (remember that Pluto is the higher octave of Mars in Scorpio and about power and control as well as deep psychology) For me, emotions are not merely emotions but the very medium through which I experience the world so when someone says something like, "Come on, Dave, it's just an emotion, it's not real" that is an incomprehensible statement to me, factual as it may actually be. To me, emotions are everything and you see this with four planets in natal in my Chart in the fourth house, ruled by the Moon.
Interestingly, I think, what inspired me to write this was simply me this morning saying to myself out loud with a sigh as I have found myself doing for a while now O a million times, "Let it go, Dave. Just let it go, man". I am my best friend, thankfully, and have well prepared for this transit over the last 62 years of life though it doesn't "feel" as if this makes it any easier.
